MASTER OF MEDICAL ULTRASOUND
In the Master of Medical Ultrasound students will undertake units in advanced practice or specialisations of their choice. Areas of advanced practice include units in advanced communication, management, governance and research; whilst specialisation units include advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound upper body, advanced musculoskeletal ultrasound lower body, advanced obstetric ultrasound, advanced vascular ultrasound, advanced paediatric ultrasound, advanced imaging of congenital heart disease and fetal echocardiography. The advanced communication unit includes issues such as communication in the role as a clinical supervisor, difficult conversations and the skills of report writing. Research involves the presentation of a research report or project plan. Graduates will demonstrate leadership within the health care sector by being effective problem solvers and advanced practitioners. Theoretical content will be provided by flexible learning with opportunities in one unit to attend a practical workshop.
To be eligible applicants must possess a Graduate Diploma in Sonography or Echocardiography or equivalent. Applicants with no research units completed in their graduate diploma will need to complete one research unit option.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Completion of a bachelor's degree with the equivalent to an Australian pass grade average in the final two terms, from a, recognized higher education institution.
Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography, or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution, where the medium of instruction is English; or
Graduate Diploma of Echocardiography, or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution, where the medium of instruction is English.
