Nursing: Nurse Manager & Leader Concentration, Master of Science

The Nurse Manager and Leader, Master of Science program at CSU Pueblo prepares students to obtain advanced positions in their respective fields. Nurse managers and leaders are involved in a healthcare facility's high-level operations, strategic planning, and long-term vision. Pursuing a Nurse Manager and Leader degree opens up opportunities of advancing into positions with more leadership responsibilities, such as directors, coordinators, and chief nursing officers. At CSU Pueblo, the curriculum for this degree program is designed to help students create an individualized path with projects that are specific to their personal goals.

Nurse Manager Leader certification is available through the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) for nurse leaders in the nurse manager role. To sit for the certification exam, experience as a Nurse Manager Leader is required.

Job Opportunity Potential

Colorado State University-Pueblo is committed to providing a safe and productive learning and living community. PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

English-proficiency requirements for all programs (except Nursing and MBA)

A minimum score of 500 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) paper-based test, a minimum score of 61 on the TOEFL internet-based (iBT);
A minimum band score of 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test; or
A minimum score of 95 on the Duolingo English Test (for undergraduate programs only-excludes undergraduate nursing).
