Certificate in Auto Body Repairer (Apprenticeship)
The Auto Body Repairer Algonquin College Certificate provides Auto Body Repairer apprentices with an understanding of the ever-changing automotive technology field.
Applicants to the Auto Body Repairer Algonquin College Certificate program must:
- be currently employed in the trade
- be formally registered as apprentices with the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (MTCU)
- have a valid Offer of Classroom Training from the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities that includes your Ministry Client ID and approved Class Number
Auto Body Repairer is a compulsory trade and requires a certificate of qualification to work in Ontario. If you are considering a future as an auto body repairer, you can find a career in independent collision facilities, auto body repair facilities or automobile dealerships. You may also be able to find employment with the government, vehicle salvage facilities and insurance companies.

Job Opportunity Potential

Program Eligibility
- Applicants must be formally registered as apprentices and be released by their sponsor to attend the College.
- Eligibility is determined by the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.
Bangladesh
Higher Secondary Certificate – With an average of 60% and no core subject below 55%
Or: General Certificate of Education (0 Level). Require a minimum of five academic subjects, of which one is English with a grade of C
English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:
- A minimum TOEFL score of 80 (internet-based with no single test score below 20)
- Or IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single test score below 5.5)
- Or CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment) with an overall band score of 60
