JWU is particularly strong for certain fields; in those areas, job potential is especially good:

• Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Food Services / Innovation — JWU is well known for these, and there are strong industry connections.
• Tourism & Hospitality Management — internships and hands-on experience help a lot here.
• Business & Applied Arts — roles in operations, management, marketing etc., especially in service, tourism, food, events.
• Experiential / Applied Trainings — students who take advantage of internships, work-study, hands-on labs tend to do better.

• JWU offers very good job opportunity potential, especially for students who make the most of the experiential learning, internships, and networking offerings.
• If you maximize what the university offers (internships, campus recruiting, alumni network), you have a high chance of finding a good job soon after graduation.
• For international students or those planning to work outside the U.S., you’ll need to check whether your field is in demand locally, whether your qualification is recognized, and whether visa/work permit rules allow you to stay and work.

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Entry / Academic Requirements (for International Undergraduate Students)

You need to have completed your secondary school (high school) with good academic performance. For international students, JWU generally looks for a minimum grade average of “C+” or equivalent.

Some programs have extra requirements (e.g. certain prior coursework, portfolios, or particular grades in specific subjects) depending on the major. 

For transfer students (if you’ve already studied at college/university elsewhere), there are credits transfer options; there is a “Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP)” if you satisfy credits and GPA criteria.
