Graduate Certificate of Security Studies and Criminology
From terrorist attacks to paralysing cyber assaults and organised gangs on global crime sprees, the media seems filled with news about emerging security and intelligence threats. Specialists in security, intelligence studies and criminology who are skilled at researching and analysing these complex issues, and at finding ways to mitigate their impact, are highly sought after by both government and the private sector. Offering a high degree of flexibility, this course gives people working in policing, defence and security-related industries, law, policy advising or media, both theoretical and practical knowledge of contemporary security issues. You’ll explore the strategies that are being developed to respond to emerging security and intelligence threats, and combine a deep theoretical understanding with practical research and analytical skills.
You’ll be equipped to ask – and answer – the hard questions about the multiple dimensions of security and criminology in the contemporary world and how they relate to one another.
