Every day, media outlets feature stories of terrorism and political violence around the world. These issues represent today’s biggest global security challenges.

In this course, you’ll explore the meaning, development and complex causes of terrorism and political violence. Examine the different ways governments, states and organizations have responded to the threat of terrorism and discover how effective these approaches have been.

All India Senior School Certificate (awarded by CBSE/CISCE/NIOS) OR Equivalent Higher Secondary Certificate (awarded by State Boards except Punjab State Board)
 
Min 60% average in best 4 academic subjects – for Class XII (Senior Secondary) qualifications awarded by CBSE/CISCE/NIOS
 
Min 65% average in best 4 academic subjects – for Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent awarded by Indian State Boards (except Punjab State Board)

Other ways to qualify for entry
 
Successful completion of one of the following:
  • A recognised post-secondary (post-high school) course.
  • University preparation (foundation) studies.
  • One year study at a recognized tertiary or higher education institution.
  • 2 units completed at an Australian University or Open Universities Australia (OUA)

For admission into Murdoch, you must be able to provide evidence of competency in the English language. This is usually achieved through one of the following:

  • A scaled score of 50% or more in ATAR English, English Literature, or English as a Second Language (or interstate equivalent).
  • An Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall score of 6.0 (with no band below 6.0) or equivalent scores for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, TOEFL iBT or the Occupational English Test (OET).
  • Successful completion of a University enabling course (e.g. OnTrack, FlexiTrack).
  • A score of 140 or more in the Written English component of the STAT test
  • Successful completion of either a Diploma (AQF Level 5 or higher) OR two University-level units (AQF Level 7 or higher).

Honors courses

  • All applicants (except those studying Engineering or Psychology honors) must complete and attach an Honours Application Form with their application.
