You'll graduate with two degrees in just four years, a Bachelor of Psychology where you will take a defined study plan and a Bachelor of Science where you'll choose a major from a wide range of options.

What will I learn?
Psychology is a fascinating and diverse area of study that explores the human experience and touches upon many aspects of daily life. It seeks to answer questions about how and why we behave the way we do. The Bachelor of Psychology will help you develop a scientific understanding of human thoughts and behaviours, the processes underlying these and the relationship of these processes to the brain.

Job Opportunity Potential

Students graduating with a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Science are well placed for the job market. Their comprehensive critical analysis and evaluation skills in psychology as well as their strong background in communication and research skills will open pathways to a large variety of industries such as community services, employment and training, government departments and agencies. Graduates may work as:

  • Psychologist*
  • Neuroscientist
  • Statistician

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this course you need to:

  • achieve a minimum ATAR of 85 or equivalent
  • demonstrate English language competence
  • satisfying any prerequisites for your preferred majors (refer to individual major descriptions for prerequisite details)
