Pursue your passions and maximise your career options with our combined bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication and Arts. You’ll graduate with two degrees in just four years, a Bachelor of Media and Communication where you will take a defined study plan and a Bachelor of Arts where you’ll choose a major from a wide range of options that will complement and enhance your studies. 

Why study this course?
Enhance your studies and pursue your interests by choosing from a wide range of Bachelor of Arts majors alongside the Media and Communication Studies Extended Major. You will have the opportunity to explore an area of Humanities and Social Sciences that fascinates you while developing your media and communication skills. Upon completion, you'll graduate with two qualifications in four years. If you decide either degree isn't right for you, you can exit one and complete the other.

Course structure
You will combine the Media and Communication (Extended Major) from the Bachelor of Media and Communication with a wide range of undergraduate majors from the Bachelor of Arts.

With further study, the two co-requisite majors in Architecture can lead to a career in architecture, urban design, architectural drafting, architectural education/academia or government policy. You could work in architectural and urban design practice, city and regional planning, government agencies, higher education, property development and architectural illustration and modelling.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years.
