Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation, MSc

This Master’s degree in Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation will develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to autonomously design, deliver, manage and evaluate healthcare related simulations.

This innovative course aims to embody the definition of interprofessional healthcare simulation. Simulation in this context refers to a spectrum of activity from simple role playing, through to simulated patients, part-task trainers, hybrid models, full body manikins and immersive simulated environments. The interprofessional element refers to anyone who may be involved in the design, delivery or evaluation of simulation activities, whether it be technicians, healthcare professionals or academics.

This programme is underpinned by a master’s level award encompassing gained skills in leadership, management, education and research with a demonstration of core capabilities and field specific competence. You will have the option to join a multidisciplinary simulation research group that is part of a wider initiative to advance the field of simulation.

This is the only course of its kind to include an Economic Evaluation of Simulation and Transformative Simulation as standalone modules.

Alongside health professionals, we've tailored our Master’s to appeal to healthcare simulation technicians. We recognise that inclusivity can be a significant draw for many in the field and as a result we would encourage those with hands-on simulation experience as well as those with a formal degree, to apply. This sets us apart from many other courses.

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Academic entry requirements
For admission to our Master's programmes, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% in the final year. However, if you are graduating from one of the following top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University, and Madras University, a minimum of 50% in the final year is required.

Please note some specialised courses may require a four-year bachelor's degree with a minimum of 65% in the final year. However, if you are graduating from one of the top universities mentioned above, a minimum of 60% in the final year is required.

Additionally, for certain courses, it may be necessary to have studied specific subjects at the university level to be eligible. Our admissions team will assess your application to determine the relevance of your academic background once you apply.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet one of the following English language proficiency requirements:

IELTS: Overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band score below 5.5.

Standard XII Waiver: achieve a minimum of 70% in English from Standard XII. However, please note that this Standard XII waiver is not applicable to applicants from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, or Uttarakhand.
