B.Tech

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of KIET was established in 1998 with the objective to impart quality education in the core field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Since the inception, the department is striving towards achieving excellence not only in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering education but also developing research facilities mainly in the area of Power Electronics, Electric Drives, Power System, Non-Conventional Energy Resources and Computational Intelligence. 
 The department currently offers B.Tech course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Masters Program (M.Tech) in Power Electronics and Drives. In order to keep the students in pace with the latest trends in technology, the department organizes lectures by eminent scientists, academicians of international repute and experts from industries on regular basis. For further boosting this effort, the department organizes an international conference “Innovative Applications of Computational Intelligence on Power, Energy and Controls with their Impact on Humanity” (CIPECH) every alternate year since 2014. Due to the relentless efforts in the field of research and development, the department has been designated as research centre by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.
