Graduate Certificate of Project Management
The Graduate Certificate of Project Management is designed to provide students with expertise in project management across a range of industries. Students develop the knowledge, skills and conceptual understanding needed to apply project management principles to all aspects of project work. Units cover project management in a range of practical contexts across the areas of entrepreneurship, management and leadership. Students also develop problem-solving skills and learn how to establish and communicate innovative solutions to a range of audiences. They become equipped to create and communicate professional project management plans that address complex business problems and support organisational change.
Course description
The Graduate Certificate of Project Management develops expertise in project management across multiple industry sectors. It provides an entry level qualification for professionals wanting to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and conceptual understanding required to apply project management principles to all aspects of project work. The course focuses on the fundamental principles of project management and their application in a range of practical contexts. Graduates of the course will build the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to be a part of an effective project team working on developing new projects. Possible roles include project assistants and project administrators.
The Graduate Certificate of Project Management forms the first stage in a nested suite of programs consisting of:
- Graduate Certificate of Project Management (GC-PM)
- Graduate Diploma of Project Management ^
- Master of Project Management
- Master of Project Management (Advanced)
^ Students are unable to enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma however it is available as an exit award. (Not available by Admission)
A student cannot be awarded two masters level courses from the same nested suite.
