Foundation Studies In Medicine
The Foundation Studies in Medicine (FSM) program provides international students with a pathway into the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle. The FSM is a one-of-a-kind program in Australia that can be completed in two or three trimesters. Successful applicants receive a packaged offer for both FSM and the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (Joint Medical Program [JMP]).

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
For Bangladesh
- Completion of the Higher School Certificate with GPA 4.0
For India
- All India Senior School Certificate with an average of 70% across 3 academic subjects.
For Nepal
- Year 12 HSC with 60% average
For Pakistan
- Cambridge O Levels with an A average (35 pts) across 5 academic subjects; OR Intermediate Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate with a 90% average (A+) in the Premedical stream.
For Sri Lanka
- Cambridge O Levels with an A average (35 pts) across 5 academic subjects.
