MA (Professional Practice in Media)
The MA (Professional Practice in the Media) is an exceptional partnership between the University of Galway and Raidió Teilifís Éireann, which is being offered through the medium of Irish at the Irish University College. Under this partnership, you will study and critically analyze the media and spelling of Irish in the University and online; and you will study contemporary professional practices in the media in various RTÉ Irish language units in Connemara and Dublin. This is an innovative and attractive approach: you will have the opportunity to spend significant periods at RTÉ workplaces during the programme, not as a normal intern, but as a student who will be under constant academic guidance.
