Bachelor of Arts - Science and Technology in Society
Introducing students to science communication, ethics in the digital age, and Indigenous knowledge in the first year, the major provides coverage of sex and gender, evolutionary thinking, bioethics, and the philosophy of science in its second-year core units, with a focus on genes and society, scientific exhibitions, and a thematic capstone unit at the third year completing the major.
The Science and Technology in Society major at UWA draws on units from philosophy, biological sciences, Indigenous studies, science communication, and gender studies to prepare you to critically assess scientific and technological ideas, policies, and applications. The ten units in the major are taught by award-winning classroom teachers and researchers from both the biological sciences and the humanities.
