Master of Science in Accounting

Silberman College of Business is a recognized center of excellence for accounting and tax education, with a long history of providing innovative educational programs that meet the needs of the accounting profession and its practitioners.

A STEM-certified program, the MS in Accounting program features two tracks. Completion of either track can academically qualify students to take the CPA exam and meet licensing requirements.

Track A is designed for students who have an undergraduate major or concentration in accounting. This track was recognized with the American Accounting Association’s prestigious Innovation in Accounting Education Award.
Track B is tailored to students who do not have an undergraduate background in accounting but desire to focus in this area at the graduate level.

If your program was less than 8 months

You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

APPLICANTS FROM INDIAN UNIVERSITIES: We require individual semester-wise marksheets and supplementary marksheets indicating all backlogs, retakes, attempts, and failures. If you cannot provide all marksheets, you must submit an Attempts Certificate from your university that indicates your total number of failures.
Applicants with the equivalent of a three-year bachelor’s degree.
The GRE is required for most Graduate majors.
Neither the GMAT nor GRE is required for:
- MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- MA in Communications
- MA in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESL/TEFL)
- MHMS Master of Hospitality Management Studies
- MPA Public Administration
Detailing all professional and academic activities undertaken during and after graduation through the present (if required by the program).
