Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
You must have:
- completed a minimum of Year 11 at secondary school
- a minimum of 3 to 6 months of work experience in an approved exhibited animal facility
- a minimum of 8 hours work placement per week, in paid or volunteer work in an approved exhibited animal facility for the duration of the course (pet shops are not a suitable placement facility)
- completed a workplace suitability form
- access to a computer with WIFI capabilities, a microphone and camera to attend remote classes
PRE-TRAINING REVIEW - to assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Box Hill Institute will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment. A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
