UNIC is the University of Northampton's Associate College, providing educational pathways to a wide range of University of Northampton degrees. UNIC is located on the University of Northampton’s Avenue Campus, close to the centre of Northampton and in the very heart of England, only one hour by train from central London and Birmingham.
UNIC has excellent facilities including a Student Hub, Learning Technology suite and classrooms all purposely furnished for teaching and learning.
UNIC has a dedicated Student Services team based in the College. As well as dealing with any queries or questions you may have they also organise regular social events such as film nights, football tournaments and quizzes. As a UNIC student you also have full access to all the University of Northampton events and facilities. The University of Northampton Students' Union is one of only three unions in the country that have all clubs, sports and societies FREE to join for all students.
The University of Northampton has 15,000 students, with 1,000 international students from more than 100 countries. UNIC alone has enrolled students from over 30 different countries in the last year.
Important Facts
UNIC is an Associate College of the University of Northampton. We offer academic pathways to a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University. If you don’t meet the entry criteria to study with the University of Northampton directly, you can choose to study at UNIC before progressing onto your chosen degree course.
Each of our programmes have been carefully designed by academics and education specialists to offer an exciting range of modules related to your chosen degree course. We also have our own Student Services Team and run events and activities so that your experience at UNIC will prepare you both academically and socially for your onward studies. To keep the application process as simple as possible you will be issued just one CAS and one visa for the entire duration of your course with both UNIC and the University of Northampton. We also offer three intakes a year giving you the flexibility to start your studies at a suitable time for you. There are three types of pathways on offer; Foundation, First Year and Pre-Master’s. Each of these will be explained in this guide including a list of the progression courses available. There is also the option for you to do Pre-sessional English at the university if you do not have the English language qualifications to join UNIC directly. As a UNIC student you will still have full access to the huge range of facilities that the university has to offer. This includes full access to their brand new Waterside Campus, the Students’ Union, library, careers advice, computer facilities and a huge range of sports and social clubs. Benefits
