Progression of the Undergraduate Programme:

The Undergraduate Programme is offered through a unique 2+1 pathway study with the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, which is currently nominated by Times Higher Education for the “University of the Year”, 2017.  Throughout this innovative, highly specialized programme, students will study essential, university level business courses, during Year 1 and Year 2 at Bangkok School of Management (Bangkok, Thailand), this will be followed by core business and management modules delivered and assessed by Northumbria University, during their final year (Year 3), leading to an internationally recognized BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) degrees from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle.  

On progression of the Undergraduate Degree, students have an option of choosing between completing the whole programme in Bangkok or travelling to UK, to complete the final year of the programme in Newcastle or London.

Northumbria University has a global reputation for delivering some of the best business management education in the U.K. Having been awarded by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB international) double accreditation in business and accounting, the Newcastle Business School programmes are part of an elite group of less than 1% of business schools worldwide. The School is also accredited by EPAS for 18 undergraduate programmes – more than any business school in the UK (Note: the Newcastle Business School undergraduate programmes offered through BSM are done through BSM’s appointment as the Official Learning Support Centre for Northumbria University in Thailand).

For a person of Asian descent, going through the pathway is the best choice for study overseas in my opinion. The first two years in Bangkok serves as a valuable bridge and transition, leading us to the final year in UK to complete our study. Doing it this way is less daunting and less financially expensive than studying in the UK for three whole years.
