When you successfully complete the programme, you will go on to study at the University, provided you meet the entry requirements for your intended degree programme.

The Foundation Studies Certificate is a university preparation programme for the University of Auckland, taught at Taylors College in Auckland. On the programme you will study academic subjects, gain study skills, improve your English language level and receive specialist career skills support.

Prepare for university 
You can choose from two different programme lengths, depending on your academic skills and English language level: standard and intensive. Each prepare you for a wide range of undergraduate degrees at the University.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for the Foundation Studies Certificate programme, you can choose to study the Pre-Foundation programme or English Language Preparation course.

Immerse yourself in university life
Although you will be studying the Foundation Studies Certificate programme at Taylors College, you will be part of the University of Auckland from your first day at the College. You will have access to all the clubs and societies as well as facilities such as the library and learning resources.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the University campus for a day of lectures, tours and talks. This will give you an insight into your degree options, and will introduce you to university life.
