Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) which has a NAAC accreditation with "A" Grade, with CGPA of 3.39 out of 4.00 also has been awarded the Graded Autonomy by MHRD, Government of India. PDPU is one of the two private universities in India and the only University in Gujarat to receive this recognition in 2018. PDPU was established in 2007 by the Gujarat State Legislature Act. PDPU’s lush green campus is spread over 100 acres of land with state of the art academic and residential infrastructure of global standards.
PDPU addresses the need for trained and specialized human resource for Industry worldwide. It intends to expand the opportunities for students and professionals to develop intellectual knowledge base with leadership skills to compete in the global arena. University aims to foster the spirit of global citizenship for all its stakeholders and create dynamic global culture on the campus.
PDPU offers UG, PG and doctoral programs :
- School of Petroleum Management offers M.B.A. in Energy & Infrastructure, Marketing, Finance, HR and Operations, PG Diploma for executives, Ph.D. and Management Development Programmes.
- School of Petroleum Technology offers B.Tech Petroleum Engg., M.Tech. Petroleum Engg and Petroleum Technology (Exploration) and Ph.D.
- School of Liberal Studies offers BBA/BA (Hons.), B.Com (B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc (Hons.) and M.A. in Public Administration/ Political & International Relations/ Psychology/ English Language and Literature as well as the Ph.D. programs.
- School of Technology offers B.Tech. in the fields of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer & ICT. It also offers M.Tech in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical (Thermal / Design), Chemical, Nuclear, Solar, Transportation & Environmental Engg along with Ph.D. in all disciplines.

PDPU has established Office of International Relations (OIR) with an objective to explore international cooperation in education and research in association with international universities and industry experts.
Students at PDPU are provided travel grants for attending conferences, workshops, symposiums and internships internationally and nationally. The Office of Research & Sponsored Projects (ORSP) at the university has been a catalyst at promoting and supporting research and academic activities among its students.

The Office of Student Activities, Involvement and Leadership ensures student engagement in creating campus culture through social, cultural, intellectual, spiritual, athletic, recreational, artistic, political and service opportunities. These activities are done under various student clubs.
Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC-PDPU) recently participated at BSE Impact 2019 - a program to nurture India's top innovators and entrepreneurs. 3 of its startups made it to top 10. Also TorchIt received BSEImpact Scholarship award for its outstanding work in social category by BSE Institute.
