Red Deer College

Red Deer College’s story began in 1964 when our first group of students attended classes that fall. Since then, RDC has proudly served our students and communities.

RDC offers more than 100 programs including degrees, certificates, diplomas, and skilled trades programs.

Applied research and innovation provide opportunities where our students and faculty collaborate with businesses and entrepreneurs to find solutions to real-world problems. Many of our applied research projects and facilities help to advance something we all care deeply about, ensuring we contribute to a sustainable future for the College, for central Alberta, and beyond.

Our core business, teaching, and learning are at the heart of our institution's mandate, vision, mission, and values. Our people – students, instructors, staff, and community members – are who make RDC such a vibrant and welcoming post-secondary institution.

As a public post-secondary institution, we are accountable to our students and the citizens of our region.

We’re excited about the next chapter in our institution’s bold future. Our story will evolve as we provide more students with valuable learning opportunities. We will continue to offer the same breadth of credentials and same variety of programs we offer now, plus our own degrees.
