The Hotel School was founded in 1989 as an integral part of InterContinental Sydney with the vision of creating Australia’s best talent in Hospitality. From the outset, The Hotel School focused on developing future leaders who would also possess the practical skills required to operate a business.

The courses offered at the Hotel School focus on hotel operational skills, management practice in the tourism and hospitality industry and the skills needed for continued learning in a changing global business environment.   • In 2018, our Professional Learning Centre team conducted graduates desk research. One of the exciting outcomes of this was that 95% of 2018 graduates surveyed were employed within six months of graduation. 69% of this group commenced their roles prior to their graduation date. 91% are working in the area of hospitality and tourism.
  • Field trips to visit Mulpha owned properties located at Hayman Island and Sanctuary Cove to gain insights into working at a resort.
  • Provides Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, permitting you to work in a licensed premises.
  • Shadow a manager in a 4-5 star hotel, including the Mulpha owned InterContinental Sydney, or Grand Hyatt Melbourne.
