For registered nurses working in community and primary health, including aged care. Further your skills in your area of practice: Health of the Older Adult, Population and Personal Health or Well Child/Tamariki Ora (delivered in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Plunket Trust). You may gain credits towards Master’s study.
This clinically focused programme is for registered nurses working in primary health care and community settings, including aged care for a minimum of two days per week. Enhance your practice and gain further knowledge and skills that reflect your specialty practice area.
Programme Outline
The Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Health Care Specialty Nursing consists of two papers: Primary Health Care and Health Promotion, and Praxis in the Community Setting (you choose one of the three strands).
Taught tutorial days are supported by online learning, with tutorial blocks being delivered in Porirua and Auckland (Well Child/Tamariki Ora strand only).
