Master of Architecture

Whether you've completed undergraduate studies in architecture or in another field, the Master of Architecture is the key to meeting the academic requirements leading to registration as Architect.

In this course, you'll be trained as an integrated urban professional, with vision to design progressive architecture that responds to the dynamic needs of contemporary society and speculates about the future of our built environment.

As a student you will undertake high-level study in specialised areas of architecture, from housing and urban design to digital practices. Through project based design studios you will gain exposure to leading design practices.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

Depending upon your prior qualifications:

Entry Level 1: Duration: 3 years full-time (144 points)

Requires an Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least credit (60%) average.

Entry Level 2: Duration: 2 years full-time (96 points)

Requires an Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Architecture with at least distinction (70%) average in the final year of the degree. This qualifying undergraduate degree must have been completed within 5 years of the proposed commencement of the Masters's program. Students who have successfully completed the Bachelor of Architectural Design at Monash University will automatically progress to the 2-year Master of Architecture.
