Master of Business Administration - MBA
The MBA program at UMass Lowell prepares students to effectively lead organizations in rapidly changing and diverse regional, national and global business environments, and fosters connections with alumni who lead Fortune 500 and innovative start-up companies – as well as everything in between.
Graduates of the MBA program are poised to advance within an organization, or start a new job or a new business with the credentials – and depth of knowledge – necessary to advance. Several different options allow students to tailor the program to their career needs, and the program’s flexibility allows students to attend full- or part-time, with online options. Our MBA graduates benefit not only from the degree itself, but also from the name of the degree-granting institution – the well-established, AACSB accredited, and highly ranked the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Students may focus their electives and pursue an option in any of the following:

Job Opportunity Potential
According to the Financial Times, those who earn an MBA more than doubled their pre-MBA salaries within three years. According to Payscale.com, the average salary for MBA graduates is $85,000, and salaries vary greatly depending on which industry the MBA graduate is in.
Students in UMass Lowell’s MBA program develop an understanding of all business processes, so that they are able to solve problems and integrate across all areas, bringing value to, and creating value for, their firm. They learn which management processes are necessary to for making changes, and so can lead change, and bring the critical thinking and communication skills that aid in ethical, effective problem solving and decision making.
Alumni of the MBA program work in companies such as HP, Microsoft, State Street Corporation and iRobot, and have started companies including Venture Enterprises. UMass Lowell’s longstanding relationships with regional businesses and its global alumni network help our graduates succeed.

A foreign credential evaluation by World Education Services or Center for Educational Documentation is required for degrees earned outside of the United States

Statement of Purpose
In a separate document, submit a brief statement indicating your immediate and long-range goals, relevant work history, academic honors/awards received, any teaching experience and/or research conducted/published that may be pertinent to your graduate program. Two pages recommended maximum.
Letters of Recommendation
You are required to submit three (3) letters of recommendation. You will be asked to provide (names and email addresses) referees during the application process and an automated request will be sent out after the completion of your application.
Provide a complete and official transcript from the institution that awarded or will award you a bachelor’s degree. You may also include transcripts from other institutions at which you have taken relevant coursework. Please note that waiting for additional transcripts may delay review of your application.
