Certificate in Road Safety Audit and Engineering
This new programme was developed in conjunction with our state industry partners, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), who are responsible for the safe and efficient design and operation of Ireland's National road network and light rail systems.
The main aim of the programme is to provide a Special Purpose Award at Level 9 in the NFQ for learners who wish to complete specific learning relating to the assessment, reporting and implementation of road safety audit processes and evaluation of road safety engineering measures on the public road network.
This programme shall facilitate Civil Engineering professionals working or intending to work in the road engineering sector to develop appropriate professional road safety auditing and road safety engineering skills and learning.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants under 23 require five Leaving Certificate subjects (or equivalent) at grade D including Mathematics and English or Irish. Applicants over 23 will be considered on prior relevant experience and/or motivation for taking the programme.
