PGDip EVIDENCE-BASED PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT
This PGDip Evidence-based Psychological Treatment course is designed to improve clinical knowledge in skills within psychological treatments which have been shown to be effective.
This course is run by the Charlie Waller Institute (CWI) and is aimed at mental health professionals from a range of professions - such as clinical psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers - who are incorporating psychological treatments into their work.
You will be learn through a combination of taught components, clinical skills masterclasses and supervision. The course is Level 1 accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and structured so that most of the criteria needed for personal accreditation are fulfilled.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
You are normally required to have a relevant undergraduate degree, a postgraduate qualification within a mental health profession, and access to ongoing clinical cases with whom you would engage in therapeutic practice and discuss in supervision.
Applicants without these qualifications but with extensive clinical experience in mental health will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants for this programme will be selected on the basis of application form and interview at the University of Reading.
