Master of Science (MS) in Robotics and Autonomous Systems

This master’s program will provide students with in-depth theoretical knowledge along with practical experience in the development and control of robotic platforms and autonomous systems. Robotics and autonomous systems are interdisciplinary technologies that are poised to leave their mark on manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, defense, healthcare, and many other critical fields of application. Robots take many different forms, but can generally be described as physical systems capable of carrying out a set of complex tasks in their environment. Examples include autonomous cars, intelligent manufacturing robots, swarms of delivery drones, or even surgical robots. Within the last five years, these fields have seen tremendous growth and both industry and academia are in pressing need of qualified personnel with deep knowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, adaptive control, multi-agent systems, mechanical engineering, computer science, and a variety of other advanced topics.

The master’s degree in robotics and autonomous systems offers the opportunity to study interdisciplinary technologies that have applications in numerous industries ranging from manufacturing and transportation to aerospace, defense, healthcare and beyond.

With access to over 25 state-of-the-art labs, you will gain practical experience with systems capable of carrying out sets of complex tasks in various working environments and will expand your knowledge of advanced topics such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction and adaptive control.
