Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Bachelor of Science

This combined degree is designed to provide opportunities for students interested in science, the scientific basis of engineering and technology, and the technology itself. Graduates of this course work as cutting-edge professionals where science and engineering interact dynamically.

There is a strong interrelation between the progress of engineering and developments in science, and a demonstrated need for professionals with a strong understanding and experience in both areas. Students have the option of undertaking honours in science, or an additional two internships to gain the Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice, or both.

This combined degree can be completed in less time than would be required to complete the two degrees separately.

Course structure :-

Students are required to complete 246 credit points, comprising 168 credit points in engineering and 78 credit points in science. The engineering component consists of core (48 credit points), major (field of practice) (114 credit points) and professional engineering practice (6 credit points). The science component consists of a science major (78 credit points).

The engineering major is selected at the time of admission; however, it is possible to apply to change the major at a later date. Students may choose not to take a designated major and instead take a flexible program comprising subjects from different areas of engineering as approved by the director, teaching and learning.

India

Successful completion of the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) (10+2) with overall grades in best four academic subjects where A1=5, A2=4.5, B1=3.5, B2=3.0, C1=2.0, C2=1.5, D1=1, D2=0.5, or successful completion of the Indian School Certificate Examination (10+2) awarded by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) with an overall percentage grade average in the best four externally examined subjects.

Successful completion of the Higher Secondary School examinations from some state boards with a competitive pass may also be accepted.

Sri Lanka

Successful completion of the Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (GCE) with 3 Advanced level passes at the same sitting.

Pakistan

Successful completion of at least one full-time year of a four-year bachelor's degree at a recognized university or a completed 2 to 3 years bachelor degree at a recognized university.

Bangladesh
