Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) - 318JA

If your ambition is to investigate a specific area of health from a research perspective, this Honours degree will see you develop the high-level academic and strategic thinking needed to successfully complete an original research project. This one-year full-time course can also be studied part-time, allowing you to balance study with your other commitments.

Across the Research Planning coursework unit, you’ll undertake practical training in research skills specifically relevant to health, and will develop appropriate methodology for your planned project, covering question formulation, sampling procedures, research approaches, ethical considerations, technical writing and more. You’ll then put your skills to the test executing a research project in your chosen area of health, before communicating your findings in thesis form. At the conclusion of your studies, you’ll graduate as a confident health research professional, ready to embark on a career in the health industry as a research officer, senior administrator or beyond.
