Overview

Speech pathologists assess and treat infants, children and adults with a wide range of developmental, congenital and acquired delays and disorders in speech, language, voice, fluency, multimodal communication and swallowing. - Learn to work closely with other health professionals to deliver comprehensive health care plans that improve the lives of those living with communication disorders.
- Be guided by experienced academics and industry professionals to ensure you’re prepared to deliver care to people in various communities, particularly high need areas such as regional, rural and remote practice, Indigenous and low resource communities.
- Develop skills in a range of courses designed to prepare you for the demands of the speech pathology, from clinical learning in communication and swallowing through to understanding more about delivering digital health.
- Select from two honours pathways within your degree:
- the project option focuses on partnerships with industry to address everyday practice topics, or
- the research option allows you to create an individual research project (this pathway is dependent on your GPA).
Regardless of which honours pathway you choose, you will be eligible to apply for entry into a higher degree by research.
