Carey School of Business, you can earn an innovative master’s degree whether you're a working professional, are new to your career, or anywhere in between.
As a STEM-designated master’s degree, the MS-ISM allows eligible graduates on student visas access to an Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension for up to 36 months, helping international students gain additional real-world skills and experience in the U.S.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
To be admitted to ASU, you will need: You must have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that country.
Competitive applicants typically have a “B” (3.00 on a 4.00 scale) grade point average in the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of undergraduate coursework. If you do not meet the minimum GPA requirements, your application may still be considered by the department.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Score of at least 550 (pBT) or 80 (iBT). ASU’s institutional code is 4007. ASU accepts only electronic copies of the TOEFL score report.

ASU accepts TOEFL iBT ® or TOEFL pBT. ASU does not accept TOEFL iBT® Home Edition or TOEFL Essentials exams.
Note: For TOEFL pBT taken prior to Oct. 14, 2017, the minimum score is 550. For TOEFL paper delivered test taken on or after Oct. 14, 2017, the minimum score is 66.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
ASU accepts IELTS Academic, IELTS UKVI, and IELTS Indicator exams
Overall band score of the academic test of at least 6.5. The general training exam is not accepted. No institutional code is needed.
Pearson Test of English (PTE)
Score of at least 60.
ASU does not accept the PTE Academic Online exam.
