At UToledo we stay on top of current trends. That’s why our renowned College of Engineering is offering new graduate degrees in cyber security — a field in which demand for knowledgeable professionals far outweighs supply.

Cyber security isn’t just about making computers safer. So many of our everyday devices are connected to the internet — refrigerators, security cameras, phones, cars. We need many more professionals who know how to protect our personal and corporate information from hackers and scammers.

The cyber security master’s programs teach you about the latest technology trends and tools in cyber security. You’ll develop the skills you need to work as a cyber security professional in a rapidly evolving IT world.

Choose from two program options:

Master of Science (M.S.)

Research-based
Two capstone options — thesis or project under the guidance of a faculty mentor — allow you to dive deeply into a cyber security area that interests you.

Master of Cyber Security (M.C.S.)

Coursework-based professional degree
Designed for working professionals who want to bring new knowledge to the workplace
Hands-on learning through our capstone course — Experiential Learning in Cyber Security. Spend time in our Cyber Range — a virtual environment that allows you to design defense strategies to deal with real-world cyberattacks.
If you don’t have a traditional computer science background, you will need to take some fundamental computer science courses before beginning the program.

Students with at least a 2.5 GPA are admitted into the pre-pharmacy program.

You may be eligible for contingent admission (direct admission) to the professional division of the Pharm.D. program. Contingent admission is competitive. To be considered, you must complete the following in the year before fall admission:

29 ACT/1300 SAT and a 3.75 GPA in a college preparatory high school curriculum. Must be reported to UToledo by December 1.
Apply and submit all required application materials by December 1.
Submit additional materials as requested.
