Master of Finance (Professional)
According to the Financial Times, a Master of Finance is the “must-have degree” for those seeking professional specialist finance roles, including investment banking, asset management, and financial analysis. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Finance program with an additional 20-week professional portfolio component to ensure you get real-world experience before you graduate. Every student who achieves a GPA of 2.0 by their penultimate semester has the opportunity to complete an internship as part of this program.

Students who have successfully completed cognate undergraduate programs may be eligible for advanced standing of up to 40 credit points towards the Master of Finance (Professional) program.If seeking employment opportunities in Australia after graduation, then feel confident knowing upon successful completion you will meet the requirements for professional accreditation with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC). The Master of Finance has been accepted into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, the largest association of investment of professionals in the world, meaning students are well prepared for the CFA exams.The Master Finance (Professional) is a quantitatively rigorous program which integrates innovative subjects that highlight Bond’s excellence in experiential and case-based teaching. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Finance program with an additional 20-week Professional component. Work Integrated Learning is a 45 credit point subject designed to promote and support learning, personal development and professional practice The classes combine theoretical knowledge in Finance with practical insights delivered through case studies and guest lectures. Team building is encouraged through group projects and communication skills are enhanced through class presentations. The Master of Finance (Professional) program’s small class sizes allow for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bloomberg terminals and our two trading rooms. Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A minimum of three (the best three) A level grades are used for entry.
A maximum of two AS level subjects may be combined to substitute for one A Level subject.
Bachelor of Actuarial Science requires a minimum of 11.
Faculty of Law requires a minimum total of 10 points.
All other Faculties and programs require a minimum total of 5 points.
Points system:
A level subjects: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
AS level subjects: A=2.5, B=2, C=1.5, D=1, E=0.5
