Accounting BS/Accounting MS
The combined Accounting BS/MS provides a full-life-cycle educational pathway students. This is a five-year program combining undergraduate and graduate coursework that will qualify you to sit for the CPA exam and graduate with both your Bachelor of Science in Accounting and your Master of Science in Accounting. In today’s competitive workplace, you need a complete package of skills and abilities to rise to the top. At UB, you'll satisfy the 150-credit-hour CPA licensure requirement while refining your skills in critical thinking, communications, time management, leadership and other areas. Additionally, our students continue to have the highest CPA exam pass rates among large programs in New York State!
Our program is accredited by the AACSB International-The Association to Advance College Schools of Business. The accounting program was accredited in 1985, one of only 190 programs in the country to achieve this level of recognition.

To be eligible for graduate study at UB, we expect:
- A bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all.
- A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions.
- Appropriate standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc.). Not all programs require test scores. See the official academic test scores section below for more information.
- Letters of recommendation.
