Master of Accounting (Professional)

The Master of Accounting (Professional) program is a specialist program for students interested in pursuing a professional accounting qualification. It incorporates the traditional Master of Accounting program designed to provide an opportunity for students with undergraduate training in other fields to gain a professional accounting qualification. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Accounting program with an additional 20-week Professional component. The MAcc (Prof) offers a firm academic grounding in the accounting discipline and offers a hands-on appreciation of the industry. The program is a powerful amalgam of foundational accounting skills, decision-making, leadership and financial literacy with the ability to advise business on financial issues.

The Master of Accounting (Professional) program at Bond University gives those with undergraduate credentials in fields other than accounting an opportunity to gain a professional accounting qualification. In addition, you will develop self-analysis and reflective learning skills and apply theoretical solutions for practical workplace problems. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Accounting program with an additional 20-week professional portfolio component to ensure you get real-world experience before you graduate. Every student who achieves a GPA of 2.0 by their penultimate semester has the opportunity to complete an internship as part of this program.You will also have the opportunity to gain a Bloomberg certification during your degree and unlock your potential for more job opportunities in the global market. Bond is the only university in Australia with 40 Bloomberg terminals, providing unparalleled access to live financial data. Any completed relatable undergraduate program will also gain you up to 40 credit points towards the Master of Accounting program.

A minimum of three (the best three) A level grades are used for entry.
A maximum of two AS level subjects may be combined to substitute for one A Level subject.
Bachelor of Actuarial Science requires a minimum of 11.
Faculty of Law requires a minimum total of 10 points.
All other Faculties and programs require a minimum total of 5 points.
Points system:
A level subjects: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
AS level subjects: A=2.5, B=2, C=1.5, D=1, E=0.5
