Double Master Programmes

The Dual Master’s Degree programme offers students with a Master of International Relations degree from the Geneva School of Diplomacy and a full-on MBA from the University of Business and International Studies (UBIS).  The Dual Masters programme (MIR+MBA) will better arm graduates to face some of the world’s changing challenges and newer problems. GSD has created Master of Arts international relations and diplomacy programme together with the University of Business and International Studies (UBIS).

The job market – locally and internationally – is becoming more difficult for numerous reasons: The competition, international affairs, the economic situation in many countries and the needs/ expectations of employers. Despite these challenges new job opportunities are opening up globally: How then can you benefit/ take advantage of this? The answer in short is that it is all about differentiating yourself on the job market. Deemed essential today is an ever-deepening alliance between international organisations, international diplomacy and international business. This Dual degree is therefore an increasingly sought-after foundation and platform to better understand, cope with and contribute more humanely and intelligently to the emerging challenges of the 21st century.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree. Whilst we accept applications from all varieties of undergraduate majors, a prior degree in international relations, history, social sciences, etc., will be an ideal preparation to commence your MIR studies at GSD.

Successful completion of mandatory academic coursework and practical work experience thanks to the GSD Internship Programme will earn the MIR student 60 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credit points. The remaining 30 ECTS credits points, out of a total of 90 ECTS required include a significant independent research project (Master’s dissertation).
