Graduate employers not only ask for a degree qualification, they expect job applicants to bring a range of skills that they have gained outside of their studies, e.g. through work experience, volunteering, part-time jobs. A great place to start is with our interactive online course Choosing My Career. It will help you make it a conscious and thoughtful decision, giving you the best chance of choosing a career path that suits your personality, skills and strengths.

This course helps you to:

• Understand the process of making a career decision
• Think about what you want from a career
• Explore the options available to you
• Plan your next steps to make it happen

2 Years PSW is applicable after the course completing (Bachelors level or above).

Academic requirements

• Minimum second-class (2:2) Honours degree or international equivalent in computer science or another numerate discipline (for example, mathematics, physics or engineering).
• Some programming or database experience is normally required.
• Other disciplines who have significant programming experience should contact us to discuss applying for this course.

English language requirements

• You must have an English language minimum score of IELTS 6.0 (with no component below 5.5).

For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution.

Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some of the states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc.

Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.

IELTS requirement is 6.5
