BA (Hons) in Historical Studies

This degree programme is designed to provide knowledge and competence in the field of historical studies. It equips students with the skills required for a number of history-related professions such as teaching, research, journalism, archive, museum heritage-related professions. It also provides the necessary skills and historical background for further studies as well as providing a sound knowledge base for other professions such as diplomacy, law, media, international institutions, journalism, social work and non-governmental organization (NGOs). The programme includes the teaching of transferable skills and is varied enough to allow students to apply their acquired skills in many other fields in their future life. Students will be given the opportunity in the final year to submit a portfolio based on research and practical work.
