MASTER OF SCIENCE IN DIGITAL FORENSICS AND CYBERSECURITY
John Jay College of Criminal Justice meets the challenges of fighting cybercrime by providing professional science education in digital forensic science and cybersecurity with concern for justice. D4CS, the Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity program, offers a Master of Science in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity degree and two advanced certificate programs.
The Master of Science in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity degree program offers a balance of practice and theory through study in computer science, law and criminal justice. The program produces professionals qualified as digital forensic scientists who can apply and sustain their expertise as new technological and societal challenges emerge; who understand the scientific, legal and criminal justice context of high technology crime; and who can effectively communicate their knowledge to others.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
In addition to the admission criteria that is listed for each graduate program, applicants who were educated outside of the United States must submit the following documents:
An official transcript in the original language from each postsecondary school/university attended in a sealed envelope, and
An international credential evaluation report that includes a course-by-course analysis indicating the type of degree received, the U.S. equivalency of the degree, the graduation date, and a cumulative grade point average from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
English Proficiency Test Scores
The Duolingo English Test is an online English proficiency test that can be taken online, on-demand, in under an hour. John Jay College will accept a score of 105 or above. The test is taken via a computer with a camera and includes a proficiency score, video interview, and writing sample which are shared with John Jay College when you send your results.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report is required. John Jay College’s TOEFL code number is 2115-99. The required minimum TOEFL scores are 550 for the paper-based test, 213 for the computer-based test and 79-80 for the Internet-based test. Students may also take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic), or EIKEN . A score of 7.0 is required on the IELTS, 53 on the Pearson, or Grade 1 on the EIKEN.
