The concentration in Food Management under the Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science provides students with the education and background needed to gain employment in foodservice administration. The course plan emphasizes providing a scientific foundation in introductory chemistry, bacteriology and human physiology. Support courses in psychology, statistics and economics also provide a strong background. Business courses in human resource management, accounting, and labor relations are needed to provide business skills utilized in foodservice management. PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry Requirements (Undergraduate)

  • Completion of high school (12 years of education) with strong academic results.
  • GPA requirement: minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to around 80–85%).
  • Must meet subject-specific requirements depending on the chosen major (Math, Science, or English prerequisites).
  • Submission of official transcripts in English.
  • SAT/ACT: Not mandatory for international students (test-optional).
  • Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) is required.

English Language Proficiency (IELTS & Others)

  • IELTS Academic: Overall 6.0 (no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL iBT: 80 (minimum 18 in each section)
  • PTE Academic: 44
