Social Science 7-12 Teaching Field Endorsement, B.A. ED
In the Social Science education program, you will be equipped to help students understand history, society, geography, economics and more, and examine how those concepts interact and affect culture and human behavior. After completing the program requirements, you will be fully qualified to teach social studies courses at the 7-12 grade level in public and private school settings.

Students will gain an understanding of contemporary society from a social science perspective that includes multi-cultural and global contexts.
UNK’s teacher education programs offer an unmatched reputation and legacy that our graduates take with them to their schools and throughout their careers. Our faculty believe in the importance of getting future educators into the classroom early and often, and help to guide students through early field experiences and student teaching.
Those interested in becoming teachers must first be admitted to the Teacher Education program. The Praxis® Core Academic Skills for Educators tests are the approved Basic Skills test for program admission. Passing scores must be achieved in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. More information on admission requirements for the Teacher Education program can be found in the university catalog.
