Certificate of Graduate Study in Adapted Physical Activity

The COGS in Adapted Physical Activity supports students and practitioners in the fields of health and physical education, exercise science, personal training, orientation and mobility, special education, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to gain continuing education and certification in adapted physical activity. This program prepares students to sit for national certification exams across three professional bodies. Choice of certification would depend on prior certifications and Bachelor’s level programs of study. There are currently no New Jersey state certifications in adapted physical activity, so national certification is the only viable option.
