MS WITH MAJOR IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Master of Science with Major in Computer Science (MSCS) prepares students for careers in industry in various positions such as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Big Data Engineer, Data Analytics Engineer, Database Engineer, Mobile Application Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, and Senior Application Developer. Students in the program build a foundational background in computer science theory, software development and computer systems, and are exposed to the latest advances in various areas including machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, advanced programming methodologies, database systems, cybersecurity, cryptography, wireless communications and networking, IoT and smart systems, bioinformatics, multimedia systems, mobile application development, and healthcare informatics. The program can be completed on campus or fully online.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet admission requirements for the College of Education. Admission to the College of Education graduate program does not constitute admission to candidacy for a degree from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Admission to the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program is highly competitive. Applicants with GPAs of less than 3.2 for the last 60 hours of the undergraduate degree, and GRE scores under 145 in verbal, 145 in quantitative, and 3.5 in analytical writing are unlikely to be admitted to the program.

Three recommendations on the CSDCAS recommendation form. Recommendations should be from former faculty members familiar with the applicant's academic/clinical work. Recommendation cannot be dated more than one year prior to the date of the application deadline.

All international students must meet CSD department minimum TOEFL score requirements regardless of the language in which the undergraduate program was completed. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test (TOEFL PBT) or 80 on the internet-based version (TOEFL iBT) is required for admission. The CSD department also accepts IELTS test results with a minimum score of 6.5
