Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

First-time freshman: Please submit original copies of your secondary school transcripts to Ohio Dominican University. Your transcripts should be sent from your school. 

Transfer applicants: If you have taken university* courses previously, please submit your official university transcripts directly to Ohio Dominican University for admission and transfer credit review.

*If your university is outside the United States, you will be required to bring syllabi and course descriptions (in English) for all courses taken to be reviewed by an academic adviser.

Applicants must also submit the results of any standardized examination that they have taken (for example O and A-levels, SSCE, CXC, IB etc.).

To be admitted to Ohio Dominican with a full academic course load, applicants for whom English is not their first language must meet the following requirements.

  • Successful completion of ELS level 109

OR

  • Official TOEFL score of at least 70
  • ODU Institutional TOEFL code is 1131

OR

  • Official IELTS band score of at least 6.0

OR

  • Duolingo English Test

OR

  • SAT ER&W score of at least 500

Other exams may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
