Applied Physics Bachelor of Science
Take an interdisciplinary, application-based approach to physics to equip yourself for a career solving real-world problems. The Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics is an interdisciplinary program that combines a broad interest in physics with practical career skills, networking opportunities and experience that equips students for real-world problem-solving. In addition to broad study of physics, students take technical elective courses in the areas of science, engineering, math or programming, along with courses in data, statistics or monitoring and communications. Students are required to complete an Engineering Senior Design Project. Alternatively, interdisciplinary design or internship experience can be considered on a case-by-case basis. The B.S. in Applied Physics serves as a launchpad for careers in the private sector or for advanced study in applications such as engineering and medicine.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
First-year undergraduate students have a 3.00 (recalculated) GPA from a secondary school, have at least three years of high school work, and present a completed high school diploma or certificate. Some programs and colleges may require additional information.
All students entering the upper-division professional program must possess a high level of language proficiency. To demonstrate receptive language proficiency, all international applicants must submit at least one of the following as proof of English proficiency at the time of professional admissions application:
TOEFL score of at least 79 iBT (internet Based Test)
IELTS score of at least 6.5
CESL endorsement from level 8 or 9 in CESL's University Track prior to UA matriculation
SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing at least 580 or ACT English at least 21 upon admission to the UA
