BSc (Hons) Creative Technology
This course will enable you to develop a solid base of coding skills, and knowledge of how to use and blend creative technologies that will give you access to technically-based creative roles.
You don’t need to know how to code at the beginning — Year 1, which is taught alongside BSc Creative Computing – is all about developing a sound base of technical skills that you will use in Years 2 and 3 as a springboard to your exploration of a range of creative technologies.
Your learning experience will be hands-on, developing projects to industry briefs, exploring the potential for computer-based technology in a wide range of digital creative and design sectors.
Your tutors and the technicians that support your creative development will be experienced industry professionals, grounding you in the technical skills you need whilst supporting the development of your creative and design flair.
From Year 2 you will have access to our new Creative Technology Lab, allowing you to experiment in AI, XR, CG animation and even soft robotics.
As with all courses at NUA, you will develop excellent transferrable skills in teamwork, project management, communication and problem-solving through employability and entrepreneurship sessions integrated into your programme.
As a graduate of the course you will be a digital creative practitioner with excellent technical ability. You will be proficient in design skills developed through the tradition of specialist creative teaching at Norwich University of the Arts.
You will have a contemporary knowledge of creative technology that will either unlock high quality roles in games, animation, VFX, XR and AI, or set you on your own course as a digital creative artist.
All courses started in September 2021 are run as a blend of on-campus and digital teaching and learning and will follow UK government safety advice. We may need to adjust course delivery if advice changes. We will notify applicants and students of any changes directly.?
