Engineering and Management (M.Sc.)

The international master’s degree course “Engineering and Management” is fully taught in English language and welcomes both, German and International students. The programme is designed as an interdisciplinary programme. The modules cover the entire value chain – from procurement through to research and development, production, sales and marketing. Particular focus is dedicated to “digitization”.

Digitization of products, processes and connectivity via the “internet of things” present major future opportunities and challenge for companies. In many industries, products and services involve significant software development. Products continuously record data, process it and/or share it with operators or connected devices. “Industry 4.0” comprises intelligently networked factories and innovative logistic solutions, among others. In Retail, mobile payment, shopping apps, augmented reality are becoming commonplace. Often times, digital transformation does not only affect products and processes, but also the company’s business model.

Graduates of this programme are well positioned to cope with these and other technologies driven challenges. In addition they are trained to view implement concepts globally and manage international teams and projects.
