This programme offers an exceptionally wide range of units with options to choose what interests you most in teaching block 2. For example, popular units include Financial Technology where you will learn all about the topical themes of blockchain, peer-to-peer lending and digital finance. Another popular unit is Credit Risk, where you will learn how to practically estimate the risk of a portfolio. This involves using Bloomberg, the main source of live data for traders and asset managers in financial organisations. As well as Bloomberg, our students also have access to other widely-used industry platforms such as Thomson Reuters Eikon. This all helps prepare our students for getting hands-on quickly in the workplace. We also provide access to databases including CRSP, Refinitiv, Compustat, and newspaper resources including Financial Times and the Economist.
You will be taught by world-leading experts in the discipline, regularly publishing in the best finance journals in the world such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics. This means that the programme is frequently updated in line with recent advances in academic literature, so you will be learning about cutting-edge finance methods and theory.
This programme is aimed at students with good undergraduate degrees in finance, economics or accounting, as well as those with more scientific backgrounds (e.g mathematics, engineering or natural sciences).

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
We understand that the majority of candidates from India have been taught in English throughout their education. Many departments will accept CBSE or CISCE English at 80% or above in lieu of another English test, with an MOI letter confirming that English is the teaching language of your institution.
The majority of our master’s programmes require a first class degree (60% or higher) from a recognised Indian university, with specific grades depending on the institution. Competitive programmes may require first class with distinction. If you would like advice relating to your specific qualification, please contact us.
We are aware that at many of India's elite higher education colleges it is very rare to be awarded a first class. For this reason, a number of our departments may be willing to consider candidates from top colleges who have achieved 55% or above
