LEVEL 3 NATIONAL EXTENDED DIPLOMA SPORT (PHYSICAL EDUCATION & COACHING)

If you can see yourself becoming a coach or teacher of sport or even if you're planning to progress on to a higher education sports degree, this two-year Extended Diploma is aimed at you.

You will learn through a mix of theory based and practical sessions and will also have a significant amount of leadership/coaching work, both voluntary and as part of your academic programme.

In your first year:

• You will complete a ten-week coaching placement at a local primary school where you will deliver physical education lessons to pupils of all ages.

In your second year:

• You will be able to specialise in either Primary or Secondary teaching in addition to working with students with special educational needs.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education is considered comparable to GCSE (grades A*-C / 9-4), for every subject passed, where grades of 1-6 (40-100%) have been obtained.

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 is considered comparable to the overall AS Level standard.
Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) is considered comparable to BTEC Level 3 Diploma, when studied for three years.

Our minimum overall IELTS scores are listed below, and are in line with UKVI standard. The Common
European Framework for languages (CEFR) level is shown in brackets:
